FBT Awana

3rd-6th Grade Side 2

Place the mouse cursor over an area of interest on the record and click to go to an explanation.

Leader: print the name of the Leader whose group the Clubber belongs to, in the top, right corner of the record - on both sides.  If a Clubber changes Leaders, mark a single line through the old Leader’s name and write the new Leader’s name above it.  Write a date beside the new name in case we need to ask the previous Leader about a record entry from previous dates on the record.  Top

Same As Side 1: the top portion of this record is the same as Side 1.  See the 3rd - 6th Side 1 record for details of these sections.  Top

Awana Store Points:

  1. Each gray column is designed to coincide with one Awana Store cycle.  Awana Store will occur on the last date on the column.
  2. The Leader sums the points earned for the night next to the date; see point values at top of table of dates.  The sum under the "Pts" column is only for that night...do not total them down the column until you are ready to sum them once for the Awana Store.  You only total them up one time for the column when it is time for the Awana Store.
  3. “Bal.” Entry is for store points that were not spent but saved for next Awana store.  Balance is at top of each new store cycle.  If Clubber does not spend points, they can keep rolling them forward to save for something big.  All points must be spent by last Awana Store
  4. Each meeting, when Leader sits down with Clubbers at book time, Leader will as each Clubber if they brought their Bible, book, uniform, attended Sunday School, or brought any visitors.  You may want to hold the award of conduct points until late in book time.

  5. Pals and Pioneers will have an extra blank line near the top of this table.  This is because they have store the first period and haven't had book time yet for the date of the store before going to store (store is 1st period and book time is 2nd period).  The last date on the column (date corresponding to the date store is held) is disregarded and Pals/Pioneers total points from all previous dates minus the current store date.  After store that night, they have book time and put the points in the blank line on the next store column to the right - there would be no points written in on the last date of each column for Pals/Pioneers.  The points in the blank line are totaled together with the rest of the points earned for the next store and thus they don't miss any points or dates; but rather are rolled forward one column.  The last Awana Store date will have to be dealt with by Pals/Pioneers since they will not be able to roll any points forward for another store later on.  Usually, they are awarded a set number of points to go to store with. 1. Attend: 1 point awarded for attending the AWANA meeting.

  2. SS Attend: 1 point awarded if the Clubber attended Sunday School or Bible Study this past Sunday.  Take the Clubber's word for it.  We do not require a note or any supporting document...just ask them if they went to Sunday School or Bible Study this past Sunday and if they reply yes, give them the point.  They do not have to attend our Church's Sunday School to get the point.

  3. Unif: 1 point awarded if the Clubber wore their uniform - they must have it on and not in their book bag, etc.

  4. Bible: 1 point awarded if the Clubber brought their Bible.  Have them show it to you.

  5. Book: 1 point awarded for bringing your AWANA handbook.  Entrance exams for new Clubbers also count for this point.

  6. Theme: 1 point - on certain nights, we have a "theme night"; such as Crazy Hat Night.  If the Clubber participated in the theme night by wearing a crazy hat or whatever is the theme of that night, they get an extra point.

  7. Conduct: 5 points awarded for being good.  You may reduce the points from 5 to a lesser amount depending on how well the Clubber conducted themselves and how well they obeyed you as the Leader.  May reduce to 0 but be careful of younger ages and not allowing any points for conduct since it is a bit harder for the younger folks (Sparks) to sit still.

  8. Section: 10 points awarded for each section completed that night.  Remember to date the block on the record corresponding to the section(s) that were completed.

  9. Visitor: 20 points for bringing a visitor.  Only one Clubber may obtain credit for brining a visitor unless you want to split the 20 points (10 each) among more than 1 Clubber who may have brought the visitor.  This happens a lot of times with brothers and sisters who invite a neighborhood friend.

Each year, a new "Awana Store Points" matrix will be created with the new dates for that year.  They will be printed on labels that will be peeled back and placed directly over the top of the previous year's points.  Points are only valid for one year and only have relevance within that Awana year.  If there are notes or comments, you may want to cut off the end of the label to avoid overlaying the Notes/Misc portion.

Notes/Misc: general notes about things that may come up during the year.  An example would be if a Clubber had a health problem such as asthma, you should note it here as a reminder to monitor them during game time.  Top
